DirectLink for the Axiom (2^nd gen) keyboards is compatible with Logic Pro 9.1 and above.  Follow the steps below to install the Axiom DirectLink personality and Axiom Instrument Maps for Logic, and to configure the Axiom (2^nd gen) Keyboard as a control surface in Logic. 

Installing the DirectLink Personality and Axiom Instrument Maps

1. Download Axiom DirectLink for Logic for your operating system from our drivers/updates page at www.m-audio.com/drivers.
2. If a previous version of DirectLink for Logic is installed, double-click to run the uninstaller to remove it.
3. Double-click the Axiom DirectLink for Logic Installer Package and follow the on-screen instructions to install the latest version.
4. After the installation is complete, download the Axiom Instrument Maps for Logic from our drivers/updates page at www.m-audio.com/drivers.
5. Double-click the Logic Instrument Maps for Axiom Installer Package and follow the on-screen instructions.

DirectLink Configuration for Logic

1. Launch Logic
2. Go to the Logic Menu>Preferences>Control Surfaces>Setup…  
3. In the Control Surfaces dialog, click New>Install 
4. Double-click on the Axiom 25 or Axiom model (for 49 & 61 key versions)
   
   
   
   
   
   

Close the setup and add windows and your Axiom (2^nd gen) keyboard will be in DirectLink mode and ready to control Logic.  Whenever Logic is launched, DirectLink will activate automatically and map Axiom Controls.  If the Axiom Instrument Maps have been installed, DirectLink will assign Axiom controls to parameters within an open Logic instrument as described in Appendix A, “DirectLink Control Assignments.”  For further information on using DirectLink to control Logic with your Axiom (2^nd gen) keyboard, please refer to the DirectLink for Logic User Guide.
