This M-Powered artist boasts over a decade of professional experience at clubs, gigs, events and on the radio. He has his own live radio show called “DJ Wask on the air,” which has been broadcasted on Friday and Saturday nights for the last four years on one of Chile’s most popular radio stations, Radio Zero (www.radiozero.cl) and now Radio Carolina (www.carolina.cl). For his live sets, Wask combines all kinds of technology, including laptops, turntables, effects machines and CDs.
Besides being a DJ and music producer, Wask is also the founder and creator of Chile’s first DJ School, which has been running since 1998 (www.djschool.cl). He is also the owner of an independent label, DNW Records (www.dnwrecords.com).
DJ Wask is also part of Freakygroove, a live act which produces sexy tech house. Their music was first brought to the public attention in 2004, when they participated in the Heineken Thirst 2004 Live Act competition held in Santiago, Chile. They were crowned the contest winners by none other than DJ Tiesto. They also won Ballantine Pulse’s Best Live Act in 2005.
