Chris Macleod and Dave Spiers of GForce are self-confessed vintage synth-aholics. Their obsession with all things vintage comes from a childhood lust for the original instruments and working with pioneering artists in the 1980's. Chris recalls, "Both Rick [Wakeman] and Keith [Emerson] were willing to offload all technical duties in favour of playing and performing... which was a tremendous opportunity for me."

After also contributing to many synthesis books and videos, they decided to combine their knowledge and start a business. On April 1, 2000, GMedia Music and the GForce brand were born. "Starting the business on April Fool's day seemed appropriate as both our families think our business is slightly nuts," says Dave. "You see, money isn't the key motivation for us. We simply build tools that we want."

"Small is beautiful," Dave continues, referring to the personal feel of their business.

"Unless we're talking about a modular synth!" Chris interjects.
