M-Audio brings down the house at the 6th Annual International Awards Dinner and Remix Your Mind Concert
On Friday, January 19, M-Audio celebrated accomplishment and announced change at the 6th Annual International Awards Dinner and Remix Your Mind Concert held at the Hyatt Regency hotel. After declaring 2006 to be a milestone year with over $100 million in revenue, the sales team honored top-performing dealers with three sought-after awards. Throughout the evening, M-Powered artists treated the guests to stellar music.
In a repeat of last year’s festivities, Italy’s Sound Wave Distribution was awarded the Top Distributor prize, becoming two-time winners. Morrocoy Studio/Covenant Music of Venezuela-Colombia took the prize for Most Improved Distributor, while India’s Pro Musicals won in the category of Emerging Market.
During the dinner, Chris Adams explained plans to change his job focus and specialize in the fastest growing regions of Asia, the Pacific Rim and Latin America. To facilitate this shift, Ken Dewar will now oversee Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Product specialist Wayne Davies will continue supporting the region.
A diverse group of M-Powered artists provided a musical backdrop for the exciting announcements. Brazilian keyboardist Thiago Pinheiro welcomed the guests with his intoxicating sounds. Renowned producer Toy Hernandez from Monterrey, Mexico followed Pinheiro’s brilliant performance. At last, the Trio (Marco Mendoza, Joey Heredia and Steve Weingart) took the stage along with special guest timbale player Karl Perazzo of Santana fame. The Trio rocked everyone through the night, making this M-Audio’s hottest International extravaganza to date.
