M-Audio's Sputnik tube mic and Torq Conectiv DJ performance/production system receive high honors from industry magazines
No one leaves the NAMM show empty-handed. While attendees returned with t-shirts and brochures, M-Audio proudly brought home three awards from top industry magazines. The company’s Sputnik tube microphone garnered Electronic Musician’s prestigious Editor’s Choice Award, while the new Torq Conectiv DJ system received the Remix Technology Award as well as Pro Sound and Stage Lighting magazine’s Editor’s Choice Award in the category of Best DJ Product.
The Sputnik multi-pattern large diaphragm vacuum tube condenser microphone delivers the lush, classic sound normally associated with rare and expensive vintage mics like the U47 and C12. It pairs perfectly with the Octane 8-channel preamp, which won Electronic Musician’s Editor’s Choice Award in 2005.
