From July 22-24, the music industry braved the heat and humidity to bring all the latest gear to Indianapolis for the annual Summer NAMM show. Not traditionally known as a music town, the city was transformed for the weekend as manufacturers and dealers descended on the convention center by day, and a diverse array of artists took over the city’s most prominent nighttime venues—and even the street corners!
M-Audio celebrated the show’s first year in Indianapolis by unveiling a wide assortment of new products. Further extending our tradition of mobile recording solutions, M-Audio introduced the MicroTrack 24/96, a palm-size, 2-channel digital recorder for field recording and much more. As part of our ongoing effort to support guitar players, we also announced the JamLab, a simple USB audio interface—complete with effects software, as well as the Fast Track Pro 24-bit/96kHz multi-track recording interface. M-Audio also proudly introduced our new software partner Way Out Ware, creator of TimewARP 2600—the only ARP 2600 emulation endorsed by ARP inventor Alan R. Perlman. Last but not least, Ableton impressed both media and dealers with the new features in Live 5, a remarkable development effort that delivers a broad range of enhancements to the already powerful program.
