In support of guitar players and an important cause, M-Audio proudly exhibited at the Crossroads Guitar Festival in Dallas, TX from June 4-6. The brainchild of Eric Clapton, the Festival raised money and awareness for the Crossroads Centre, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping those affected by substance abuse and other addictive behaviors. The event featured three days of clinics, demonstrations, and concerts in the Guitar Center Village at the Fair Park in Dallas.
At the Apple booth in the Fair Park Centennial Hall, M-Audio showed guitar players the ease of computer-based music creation. Visitors were amazed at the versatility of using gear like the FireWire 410, MobilePre USB, Nova, and Solaris in conjunction with software like Soundtrack, Logic, Ableton Live, Propellerhead Reason, ProSessions sound and loop libraries, and/or Sonic Reality ReFills. Many attendees also recognized the power of using M-Audio technology as an instructional aid.
In addition to the wide array of manufacturers’ booths, the Fair Park Centennial Hall also housed two side stages for clinics and demonstrations, while a large stage outside the hall featured performances by Eric Johnson, JJ Cale (with Eric Clapton), and John Mayer. As the highlight of the event, Eric Clapton, Carlos Santana, Pat Metheney, Jeff Beck, John Mayer, B. B. King, and others performed at the Cotton Bowl.
