Renowned producer/engineer/musician Ted Perlman (Ronald Isley, Chicago, Bob Dylan) used M-Audio’s Delta 1010s to record Dave Mason’s brand new CD, “Alone Together Again.” The album features guest appearances by Sheila E. on percussion/vocals, Renato Neto (Prince), Carmine Rojas (Rod Stewart), Mike Finnigan (CSNY, Jimi Hendrix), Alvino Bennett (Kenny Loggins, Stevie Wonder), and Ike Turner on acoustic piano.
"The Delta 1010s always give my productions and mixes that special sound," says Perlman. "The new Dave Mason CD, 'Alone Together Again,' relied on the Delta 1010s to not only deliver great sound, but to keep all the audio and MIDI in perfect sync. I could not have finished the record without them."
Perlman also mixed the CD through M-Audio's Flying Cow converters, and used two Super DAC converters to route effects signals from the software mixer. Final mastered mixes were edited through the Audiophile 2496 using Studiophile SP-5B speakers.
Born in the UK, songwriter, producer and recording artist Dave Mason was one of the founding members of Traffic, and later joined and toured with Fleetwood Mac. In addition to performing to sold-out audiences and recording his own albums, Mason played on The Rolling Stones' "Beggar's Banquet," George Harrison's "All Things Must Pass," Paul McCartney's "Listen To What The Man Said," Jimi Hendrix's "Electric Ladyland," and more.
The Dave Mason band is currently on tour; please visit http://www.dave-mason.com for tour dates and additional information.
