Q: I am trying to delete one of the Torq Traqs installed with Torq LE and I am getting an error message stating that the operation cannot be completed because the item is locked.  How do I delete the file?

A: As the error message indicates, the files are locked, and therefore must be unlocked before they can be deleted.  Please follow these steps to unlock the Torq Traqs:

1. Navigate to the Torq Traqs folder located in Macintosh HD>Users>User Name>Music, or simply click "Music" in the sidebar.

 

The files pictured above are locked; notice the lock symbols in the bottom left corners of the file icons.

2. Select all of the files in this folder by choosing Select All from the Edit Menu, or by pressing Cmd-A.  All of the files will become highlighted when selected (pictured below).

3. Press and hold the Command (Apple) key and click any of the files and select Get Info.  Alternatively you can choose Get Info from the File Menu, or press Cmd-I.



4. Remove the check mark next to the box labeled "Locked" under the General section, then close the window.



5. The lock icon will no longer appear on the file icons and you can proceed with deleting any files as you see fit.
