Q: I have my songs on an external hard drive and Torq can read the files, but I cannot analyze them.
A: Verify the file system format of the drive (e.g. NTFS, FAT32). When Torq analyzes a file, it creates an analysis file (in .tqd format) to store the waveform overview, cue points, etc. If your hard drive is formatted NTFS, Torq will be able to read files on the drive, but will not be able to create the necessary .tqd files. Hard drives must be formatted with a FAT32 file system in order for both Mac and PC to be able to read and write files to the drive.
