HyperControl for the Axiom Pro keyboards is compatible with Cubase 4, 5*, & 6*; click here for a complete list of supported versions.  Follow the steps below to install the Axiom Pro HyperControl personality forCubase , and to configure the Axiom Pro Keyboard as a control surface inCubase .

* Note: Only the full version of Cubase is supported; other versions such as Cubase Studio, Essential, LE, and Nuendo do not go through the qualification process.

 Installing the HyperControl Personality

1. Download Axiom Pro Cubase HyperControl Personality for your operating system from our drivers/updates page at www.m-audio.com/drivers
2. Double-click the Axiom Pro Cubase HyperControl Installer and follow the on-screen instructions
3. Windows users with Cubase 5 32-bit must follow this guide to place the HyperControl personality in the properly location

HyperControl Configuration for Cubase

1. Launch Cubase

2. Go to the Devices Menu and choose Device Setup

3. Click the "+" and select M-Audio Axiom Pro

4. Select Axiom Pro HyperControl* In and Out for the MIDI Input and Output

* Select MIDI In 2 and MIDI Out 2 when using the Microsoft class-compliant driver on Windows XP

5. Select MIDI Port Setup and un-check the box for Axiom Pro HyperControl In for the "In All MIDI Inputs column.  This will prevent the control surface data from Axiom Pro from controlling unintended parameters and triggering double notes.


 

6. Click OK.
