Q: I’m trying to install Session and it’s taking what seems like an uncommonly long time to copy all the files from the install disc. Is this normal?

A: Yes. The Session install disc contains over 3GB of loops, instrument sounds, and other samples that will enable you to begin creating virtually any kind of music right away.  During installation, this impressive library of musical content is (by default) copied onto your hard drive, a process that can take a considerable amount of time in some cases.

Note: During the installation process, users are given the option to decline copying Session's musical content onto the hard drive.  If copying this content to the hard drive is declined, installation time will be dramatically shorter.  However, users who choose to not copy Session's content onto their hard drve will have to insure that the Session DVD is present in their DVD drive every time Session is launched.
