Torq 2.0 Software Installation Instructions for Mac OS X

If you are upgrading from a previous version of Torq (e.g. Torq 1.5), it is NOT necessary to uninstall the older version.  Torq 2.0 can co-exist with previous versions of Torq.  If you are installing Torq 2.0 from a disc, click here for an updated version.  It is only necessary to install the latest version.

To install Torq on a Mac:

1. Place the Torq disc in your CD/DVD drive.

2. Double-click the Torq CD icon on your desktop. This will display the contents of the CD.

If you are installing Torq as a download, the file you are downloading is in "Disk Image" (extension "dmg") format.  This means that once the download is complete, a finder window will automatically open and show you the contents:



If this Window does not open automatically, double-click on the downloaded Disk Image file.

3. Double-click the Torq 2.0.pkg installer icon.

4. Click “Continue” on the Introduction screen.


 

5. Review the License Agreement, and then click “Continue.”



 
6. Click “Agree” to accept the License Agreement.



 
7. Select the disk where you want to install Torq 2.0 software and click “Continue.”



 
8. Click “Install.”



 
9. When prompted, enter your password and click “OK.”



10. When the installation is finished, click “Close.”


 

Note that during Torq 2.0.x installation you may be prompted to install one or more supporting components.  If prompted, please allow or continue the installation as they are required for successful operation.


Once the installation has finished, a Torq shortcut icon will be placed in the dock.  Click the icon to launch the program.
