"Error while synchronizing audio and MIDI" in Logic
Text size [-] [+]

Q: I’m using Logic audio with an M-Audio USB Audio device with an integrated MIDI port (Ozone, Audiophile USB, Quattro, etc.).  Logic shows an "Error while synchronizing Audio and MIDI" message every now and then although all settings are correct.  How can I fix this?

A: Click on the "Synchronization" button (showing a clock) in Logic’s Transport Control and keep it held down. Select "Synchronization" and switch to the MIDI tab.  De-select all the check boxes to turn any outgoing synchronization messages off and close this window.  Audio and MIDI should now stay in sync.

This applies to Logic Audio 5 (Mac/PC) as well as the current Logic Pro and Logic Express.
