DTS through S/PDIF (Windows)
Text size [-] [+]

Q: I have problems with the playback of the DVD Audio format "DTS" using the S/PDIF output of my Delta card. What can I do about this?

A: In Windows 2000 and XP you need a software application that supports DTS on WDM based Systems. Examples of such software applications are PowerDVD 4.0 (or higher) and WinDVD DTS 3.1 (or higher).

When using the VxD driver (4.1.22.38 or higher) the Function "Reset Rate When Idle" (which can be found in the Delta Control Panel's Hardware Settings tab) should not be activated. Also check the S/PDIF settings. Make sure to have them set to "Professional" and in the advanced section to "Non-Audio".
