How can I prevent the ProKeys Sono's keys from playing its built-in sounds?
Text size [-] [+]

Q: I am trying to use my Prokeys Sono 61 or 88 to control a software instrument, but I always hear the built-in grand piano (or one of the other built-in sounds) too.  How can I prevent the keys from plaing the built-in sounds?

A: To prevent the ProKeys Sono's keys from playing its built-in sounds, turn local control off.  Press the Edit Mode button and then press the A#3 key (Sono 61), or A#4 key (Sono 88) to toggle Local mode.
