Some songs don't appear in Torq browser (DRM)
Text size [-] [+]

Q: Some of my songs aren’t showing up in Torq.  What could be causing this?

A: At this time, Torq does not support playback of files that contain DRM (Digital Rights Management) technology.  If you have any DRM-protected files in your collection, they will not show up in Torq’s File List.  Many different online music vendors, such as iTunes Music Store, add DRM protection to all music files sold.  The intent of DRM technology is to discourage piracy by limiting the computers and/or media players the purchaser can use to play the file.  Select songs can be purchased from iTunes DRM-free, and these files can be played in Torq.  While Torq has extensive iTunes integration, it is not currently possible to play all files purchased directly from the iTunes Music Store—those files with DRM copy protection can only be played in iTunes or on an iPod.

DRM is a rapidly evolving phenomenon and M-Audio is continually evaluating the possibilities presented by new developments in DRM technology.
