DO NOT configure Venom In Pro Tools under Setup > Peripherals > MIDI Controllers Tab. T he M-Audio Keyboard selection is ONLY for supported keyboard/control surfaces including Axiom Pro, Axiom (2nd gen), and Oxygen (blue) 3rd gen.  Configuring Venom here will cause problems and can alter Venom's sounds.

Venom can still be used as a MIDI controller and if connected via USB, should automatically be activated as a MIDI input device (Setup Menu > MIDI > Input Devices).
