Torq 2.0 Activation Guide
Step-by-step instructions for Trial, Internet, and Manual Activation
Background
Please read the information below for important information about Torq’s software licensing system and the changes to it implemented in Torq 2.0.3.
The Torq 2.0 software license activation is tied to a Machine ID generated by Torq, and this ID used to be tied to your computer’s current Network Interface Controller (NIC) configuration. In Torq 2.0 – 2.0.2, changes to the computer’s NIC configuration after activation could result in Torq no longer recognizing its activation.
On Windows systems, enabling or disabling your Ethernet or Wireless controllers after activating Torq could cause Torq to no longer recognize its activation. This behavior has been changed in Torq 2.0.3 and you can now freely enable or disable your Ethernet or Wireless controllers as you’d like without affecting Torq’s activation
Torq 2.0 Activation Instructions
Once you have completed the software installation, Torq must be activated and authorized using the Avid Activation Tool. This tool can also be used to activate Torq to run as a 30 day trial version.
