Setting up Transport Control in Pro Tools with Oxygen (silver) keyboards
Text size [-] [+]

This guide will show you how to remotely control the transport functions in Pro Tools with your Oxygen (silver) Series* Keyboard (Oxygen 8 v2, Oxygen 49/61).

1. The first step is to recall Preset 9 on your Oxygen keyboard:

Oxygen 8 v2 (25 note):  Press the Select button on your Oxygen Series keyboard until the red dot on the LCD appears above "Preset", then press the +/- buttons until P09 appears on your keyboard's LCD display.  Preset 9 is recalled when P09, and the red dot above Preset on the LCD, disappear.

Oxygen 49 and 61: The Oxygen 49 and 61 have dedicated +/- Preset buttons.  Scroll through your Presets using these buttons until "P09" appears (briefly) on your Oxygen's LCD screen.

2. In Pro Tools, go to the Setup Menu and select Peripherals.

3. Select the Machine Control Tab and check the "Enable" box under MIDI Machine Control Remote (Slave).

4. Click OK.  The transport buttons on your Oxygen Series keyboard are now ready to control Pro Tools**.

* This does not apply to the Original Oxygen 8 because it does not feature transport buttons.

** The Loop button on the Oxygen does not turn loop on/off because this is not a function of MIDI Machine Control (MMC).
