This guide will provide a quick walkthrough on how to setup your M-Audio audio device in Propellerhead's Reason software.
Before proceeding, you must install the latest drivers for your device.
1. Launch Reason
2. Select Preferences from the Edit menu (PC) or the Reason menu (Mac)
3. PC users click the dropdown menu for the Audio Card Driver and select the M-Audio ASIO driver your device. Mac users should select their M-Audio device from the Audio Output dropdown menu.
Note: Reason may identify your M-Audio device by Series (USB, FW/FireWire, Delta), and not by name.
4. Close the Preferences window.
Reason is now configured to use your M-Audio sound card. Connect your speakers or headphones to your M-Audio sound card. You cannot use your computer speakers, or built-in sound card for output.
* This setup procedure is similar across different versions of Reason. For more information on configuring and recording with Reason, please consult the Reason User Guide, or contact Propellerhead Support.
