The Venom has a built-in USB 2.0 audio/MIDI interface (USB 1.1 backward compatible) and is capable of simultaneously sending audio and MIDI to the computer over USB. Venom features 2-in x 2-out 24-bit, 44.1 kHz operation. The synth sounds, as well as the mic, instrument, and stereo line level inputs, all route to the computer on inputs 1 & 2. It is not possible to simultaneously route individual multi-parts to separate tracks in your DAW. To record each multi-part to a seaprate track you must record each part individually. The microphone input is a mono input and can be recorded via Input 1, or the left channel; the instrument input is also a mono input and can be reocrded via Input 2, or the right channel.
When using Venom in conjunctin with another audio interface, such as ProFire 2626, users are recommended to use the dedicated audio interface, ProFire 2626 in this example, as the audio interface in your recording software. Connect your speakers and headphones to the main audio interface (e.g. ProFire 2626), and connect the Venom's line outputs to available line inputs on your interface. Venom can still be connected via USB to transfer MIDI data, however, in this configuration, audio data will not be transferred over USB. It is also possible to connect Venom's MIDI Input/Output to another MIDI interface, such as the MIDI Input/Output on ProFire 2626; in this configuration it is not necessary to connect Venom via USB.
