Using PCI-X compatible M-Audio cards on a PCI-X Windows PC
Text size [-] [+]

If you are planning to use one of M-Audio's PCI-X compatible PCI cards in a PCI-X equipped Windows PC, you need to first make sure that the PCI-X slots on this system are capable of running at the conventional PCI clock speed of 33 or 66 MHz.  No PCI-X compatible M-Audio card will function in a PCI-X slot that can't "clock down" to 33 or 66 MHz.  If you are unsure as to whether or not your PC is capable of running its PCI-X slot(s) at 33 or 66 MHz, please consult the documentation for your PC's motherboard BEFORE installing any M-Audio cards into that system's PCI-X slot(s).
