Q: How do I upgrade to Torq 1.5 and get a serial number for Torq 1.5?

A: Torq 1.5 requires a Torq 1.5 software serial number.  The serial number from your Conectiv or Xponent will not unlock the Torq software.  If your product packaging mentions Torq 1.5, your Torq 1.5 serial number will be on a printed card included with the CDs and documentation.  Type your serial number into the dialog box .  The serial number is case sensitive, and any 0's are zero's and not letters.  Click OK.  Torq is now unlocked and ready to use.

If your product packaging does not mention Torq 1.5 and include a serial number, follow the steps below to obtain a Torq 1.5 serial number.  

Note: The Torq 1.5 upgrade only applies to Torq software. It does not apply to Torq LE.

1. Register your Torq Conectiv or Xponent on our product registration page.

* Customers who purchased Torq Conectiv or Xponent hardware after January 17th, 2008 are eligible for a no-charge upgrade to Torq 1.5 software.  For users who purchased and registered before January 17th, 2008, the cost of upgrading from any previous version of Torq is USD$49.95.  To purchase Torq 1.5 DJ software, visit the Torq 1.5 upgrade page.

2. Visit our Torq 1.5 no-charge upgrade page and enter your registered e-mail address.  Click Submit to receive your free Torq 1.5 serial number.  You will also receive a confirmation e-mail with your serial numbers.  After receiving your Torq 1.5 serial number, please visit the product registration page to register the Torq 1.5 upgrade with this new serial number.

Users are strongly encouraged to create a MyProfile login (use the same e-mail address as your product registration).  Here you can view your product registrations and retrieve your Torq 1.5 serial number.  Users that purchased the Torq 1.5 upgrade through the Webstore can login to their Webstore account to retrieve their Torq 1.5 serial number.

Now that Torq 1.5.2 has been released, it is not necessary to first install Torq 1.5.  Users should download and install only Torq 1.5.2:

Users with any previous versions of Torq installed should follow this Recommended procedure for updating to Torq 1.5.


Authorization

1. Launch Torq.  You will be presented with a dialog box asking for your serial number.
2. Enter your Torq 1.5 serial number.  If you copy and paste the serial number, make sure there are no spaces at the beginning or end of the serial number.  If you manually enter the serial number, the letters are case sensitive, and any 0's are zero's and not letters.
3. Click OK.
