What Operating System (OS) am I running?

Q: I need to download a new driver, how do I determine the exact Operating System (OS) version I am running?

A: Please follow these instructions to determine your exact Operating System (OS) Version:

Windows XP

1. Click on the Start button in the bottom left corner of your screen.
2. Right click on the My Computer icon.
3. Select Properties from the resulting dialog.
4. Your Windows Version (Home, Professional, Server*, or Media Center Edition*) and Service Pack (if any) will be listed under the General tab (which will be open by default).



* Windows Server Edition and Windows XP Media Center Edition are not supported


Windows Vista and Windows 7

1. Click on the Start button in the bottom left corner of your screen.
2. Right click on "Computer" on the right side of the resulting pop up.
3. Select Properties from the resulting dialog.
4. Any installed Service Packs will appear in the "Windows edition" section; and "System type" indicates whether you are running a 32-bit or 64-bit Operating System.




Mac OS X

1. Click on the Apple icon in the top left corner of your screen.
2. Select "About this Mac" from the drop-down menu.
3. The exact version # of OS X that you are running is listed below the Apple logo.
