Text size [-] [+]

The SysEx Memory Dump function (Send Patch & Send All) on the Axiom Pro Series keyboards will send the contents of the current or all memory patches for storage in a DAW or 3rd party SysEx Librarian application. Please refer to the documentation provided with your software for specific information on how to record SysEx MIDI data.

  1. Prepare a MIDI track within your DAW software to record from your Axiom Pro keyboard
  2. Press the Edit button on your Axiom Pro keyboard
  3. Press the 5 button or key to access the MIDI Settings
  4. Use the soft keys to navigate to Send All (to send all patches) or Send Patch (to send the currently loaded patch)
  5. Start the MIDI recording in your DAW software
  6. Press the Soft Key for Send.  The SysEx memory dump will begin immediately and the LED will display SE... with an hourglass to indicate that data is being sent

The SysEx file will appear as a new MIDI recording in your DAW software.

Restoring a Memory Dump:

IMPORTANT: Restoring a saved Memory Dump will permanently overwrite current presets on your Axiom Pro keyboard.

Play back a MIDI track that contains a previously recorded Axiom Pro SysEx Memory Dump. The SysEx data is sent back to the Axiom Pro keyboard. The Axiom Pro LED screen will display the preset names while receiving the SysEx data.

NOTE: Restored settings will not become active until a new preset is loaded on your Axiom Pro keyboard, or the device has been powered off and on.
