Text size [-] [+]

Q: I am running Session on Windows Vista and I have selected the KeyStudio keyboard for MIDI input, but I am unable to trigger the instrument sounds when I play the keys.

A: Quit Session and update the KeyStudio driver from the Windows Device Manager using the following procedure:

1. Open the Device Manager.  A shortcut to the Device Manager is located in the Windows Control Panel.

2. In the Device manager, click the + next to Sound, video and game controllers to expand the list.

3. Right-click on KeyStudio and select Update Driver Software...

4. On the window that appears, click Browse my computer for driver software

5. Click Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer

6. Click to select KeyStudio USB Driver

Note: If your KeyStudio USB Driver does not appear, click "Cancel", disconnect the device, and reinstall the driver

7. Click Next.

8. When you receive the message "Windows has successfully updated your driver software", click "Close".

9. Launch Session and you should now be able to use your KeyStudio keyboard with Session.
