Torq relies on cleartype fonts to display lettering in the GUI as well as text in the database. ClearType is a method of anti-aliasing which allows fonts to appear smoother on LCD displays. By default, Windows XP and Windows Vista do not have this enabled. If you are experiencing jagged fonts or "blurry" icons and text, please follow the steps below to enable ClearType.
How to Enable ClearType
To use ClearType for screen fonts:
Click Start, click Control Panel, click Appearance and Themes, and then click Display.
On the Appearance tab, click Effects.
Click to select the Use the following method to smooth edges of screen fonts check box, and then click ClearType in the list.
