It is possible to configure any of the Axiom Pro controls (Faders, knobs, buttons, pads, pitch/mod wheel, pedal, or aftertouch strip) to send different MIDI messages. Please refer to the "Edit Mode > Control" section in the Axiom Pro user guide for more information about the available standard and assignable MIDI CC's available for the different controls.
Programming the Controls on Your Axiom
When programming a physical controller on your Axiom Pro, the controller that was last used will be the first one selected for programming.
- Move or press a control to select for editing.
- Select Option 2 for Control
a. Axiom 49/61 users Press 2 on the Numeric Keypad
b. Axiom 25 users Press the black key labeled 2 ABC - Press Soft Key 2 to navigate down and select Type
- Change the Type to MIDI CC
a. Axiom 49/61 users turn Knob E5 or press +/- on the numeric keypad
b. Axiom 25 users turn Knob E5 or press the +/- keys - Press Soft Key 2 to navigate down again and select CC#
- Enter the desired MIDI CC number
a. Axiom 49/61 users turn Knob E5 or press the numeric keypad
b. Axiom 25 users turn Knob E5 or press the numbered keys - Press Soft Key 4 for "Enter"
To Program the other buttons:
Very slowly turn knob E3 to select the different controls (note the control name in the top right of the LCD) and follow the steps above.
The Axiom Pro drum encoders can have up to four profiles allowing you to quickly and easily control up to 32 parameters. Turn knob E4 to select the different Profiles, and use knob E3 to select the controls within the profile.
Be sure to press the Soft Key 4 for "Enter" to confirm each setting. When finished, press Soft Key 1 to Exit. See this guide to save these settings to the Axiom Pro's memory.
