Q: I have Pro Tools 8 and I installed the Axiom Pro HyperControl Personality for Pro Tools; now "M-Audio Keyboard" no longer appears in the list of MIDI Controller Peripherals.

A: The M-Audio Axiom Pro HyperControl personality is built-in to Pro Tools 8.  The available Pro Tools HyperControl Personality that you can install is only for Pro Tools 7.4.  Installing this Personality will overwrite the pre-installed Personaltiy, causing it not to appear and function.  To restore HyperControl functionality to Pro Tools 8, use the links below to download the Axiom Pro HyperControl Personality files for Pro Tools 8.0 - 8.0.4.

Note: An updated HyperControl control surface personality file is availbale for Pro Tools 8.0.5.  Pro Tools 8.0.5 users should click here to download this update instead of the files linked below.

Unzip the M-Audio Keyboard.bundle file and place it in Macintosh HD>Applications>Digidesign>Pro Tools>Controllers.  If prompted, overwrite the existing file.

Unzip the M-Audio Keyboard.dll file and place it in C:\Program Files\Common Files\Digidesign\DAE\Controllers.  If pormpted, overwrite the existing file.
