This is a quick walkthrough on how to setup your M-Audio audio interface in Steinberg WaveLab.
Before proceeding, you must install the latest drivers for your device.
1. Launch WaveLab
2. Select Options from the Preferences Menu
3. Click to select the Audio Device tab
4. Select the M-Audio ASIO driver for your device as the Playback/Record device
Note: WaveLab may identify your M-Audio device by Series (USB, FW/FireWire, Delta), and not by name.
5. Click OK
With the M-Audio ASIO driver selected, WaveLab is now configured for use with your M-Audio sound card. Connect your speakers or headphones to your M-Audio sound card. You cannot use your computer speakers, or built-in sound card for output.
* This guide was created using WaveLab 6, however, the procedure is similar across different versions of WaveLab. For more information on configuring and recording with WaveLab, please consult the WaveLab User Guide, or contact Steinberg Support.
