Q: My FireWire device has two FireWire ports.  Does this mean that I can connect one computer to one port and another to the other port and use my interface with two computers at the same time?

A: No.  On our interfaces that feature dual FireWire ports, one port is to be connect to your computer, and the other port can be used as a "passthrough" for an external FireWire peripheral (such as a FireWire hard drive).  We recommend connecting only self-powered devices to these inputs. Bus powered devices may affect your audio performance.
