Only odd numbered input channels appear in Cakewalk Sonar
Text size [-] [+]

Q: I am trying to record with my M-Audio audio interface in Cakewalk Sonar, but only the odd numbered channels appear.  How do I access the even numbered inputs?

A: This is normal, and the even numbered inputs are actually available. The left inputs correspond with the odd channels, and the right inputs correspond with the even channels.

In the example above:

  • Physical Input 1 on the Delta 1010lt appears in Sonar as: Left M-Audio Delta ASIO Analog In 1 Delta-1010LT
  • Physical Input 2 on the Delta 1010lt appears in Sonar as: Right M-Audio Delta ASIO Analog In 1 Delta-1010LT
  • Stereo M-Audio Delta ASIO Analog In 1 allows you to record a stereo signal from both inputs 1 and 2
  • Physical Input 3 on theDelta 1010lt appears in Sonar as: Left M-Audio Delta ASIO Analog In 3 Delta-1010LT
  • Physical Input 4 on the Delta 1010lt appears in Sonar as: Right M-Audio Delta ASIO Analog In 3 Delta-1010LT
  • Stereo M-Audio Delta ASIO Analog In 3 allows you to record a stereo signal from both inputs 3 and 4
