Company presents live demos and more at China’s largest audio tradeshow
M-Audio participated once again at Music China 2007, held from October 17-20, 2007 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre. The show featured over 1000 exhibitors from 23 countries and regions, comprising the largest showing of musical instruments and accessories anywhere in China. Alongside sister company Digidesign, M-Audio partnered with distributor Eastern Edison to showcase several innovative new products including the MicroTrack II handheld recorder, Studiophile Q40 headphones, Pulsar II small-capsule condenser microphone, and IE-40 high-definition professional reference earphones.
M-Powered artist Thiago Pinheiro was on hand demonstrating his use of multiple M-Audio keyboards including ProKeys 88sx, Axiom 61 and MidAir 25. Pinheiro’s impressive chops dazzled visitors as he showed how easy it is to make music with M-Audio gear. Product specialist William Keong joined Pinheiro in multiple demonstrations of Pro Tools M-Powered, highlighting the powerful features of Digidesign’s collection of virtual instruments—Xpand!, Hybrid, Velvet, Strike and Structure.
Keong also presented the NRV10 interface/mixer, showing how versatile it can be on stage and in the studio. Special guest guitarists J. Hayes and Cao Jun amazed the crowd, shredding on stage with GuitarBox Pro. Bringing focus to digital DJ technology, talented Beijing-based DJ King Zhang fired up the crowd during live demonstrations of the Torq Xponent digital DJ system.
Overall, Music China 2007 was a resounding success. As the audio industry in Asia continues to expand, Music China will undoubtedly remain an important annual event for internationally focused companies like M-Audio.
