It was the 17th year for the annual PALM China Expo, and once again, M-Audio was right in the thick of the exhibitor action. Beijing’s China International Exhibition Centre (CIEC) was packed to the gills with audio professionals eager to get a peek at the latest and greatest gear coming on the market.
M-Audio was proud to show a bevy of new offerings, including the MicroTrack™ II mobile 2-channel digital recorder, two new versions of their popular MIDISPORT USB MIDI interfaces (the MIDISPORT 2x2 Anniversary Edition and MIDISPORT 4x4 Anniversary Edition), the ProFire™ 2626 audio interface, Studiophile® BX Deluxe series monitors, ProKeys Sono digital pianos, and the new Fast Track® Ultra and Fast Track® Ultra 8R audio interfaces.
The new gear demonstrations were part of a three-fold demo and entertainment session, led by distribution partner Eastern Edison. DJ Johnson (King Zhang) was on hand, showing aspiring and experienced jocks alike how to perform on-the-fly remixes using Torq® Xponent®, while Cao Jun delivered an entertaining and educational presentation that featured three versatile Pro Tools M-Powered™ studio setups. J. Hayes of PRS Guitars and Chris Adams, M-Audio Director of International Sales, capped off the action with an impromptu jam session and guitar duel, which demonstrated the simplicity of laying down tracks with Pro Tools M-Powered.
If the enthusiastic crowds are any indication, the PALM China show was an overwhelming success for M-Audio.
