From September 28 to October 2, the 15th edition of the most important trade show in Latin America swept through Sao Paulo, Brazil. Represented by distributor Quanta Music at Expomusic for the third consecutive year, M-Audio took the show to the next level to promote 2005’s newest releases. With a special emphasis on guitar products like the Black Box, the show also featured M-Audio’s ProKeys 88, Trigger Finger, MicroTrack 24/96, StudioPro 3’s and Fast Track Pro—plus Pro Tools M-Powered and plug-ins from Wizoo, iZotope, GForce and M-Audio.
M-Audio and Quanta were proud to announce the official endorsement of Rafael Betancourt from legendary band Angra, who performed at the show. Of course, M-Audio’s dear friend and endorsee Thiago Pinheiro was also on hand to present the ProKeys 88 and Trigger Finger, stunning the crowds with his virtuosic playing style. Daniel Raizer, lead demonstrator from Quanta, led a variety of presentations with the help of Betancourt and Pinheiro. His demos revealed how anyone can easily make music with a computer—regardless of what kind of instrument they play.
The daytime events were topped off by a celebratory dinner, where three of Quanta’s top dealers were honored. Chris Adams, Director of International Sales, thanked all the dealers for their best year ever while previewing the new products and exciting times soon to come. The dinner featured Pinheiro’s new jazz quartet, as well as M-Audio dignitaries including founder Tim Ryan, co-founder Tom Turner and industry veteran Russ Jones—a fitting conclusion to an overwhelmingly successful event.
