Celldweller, the independent electronic-rock outlet of M-Powered artist Klayton, continues to redefine success on its own terms. M-Audio is proud to support this innovative artist by sponsoring the Celldweller Remix Competition v2.0, Take It & Break It. The competition aims to promote cutting-edge remix production with the release of four separate songs over the course of just as many rounds, offering interactivity on the fan, amateur musician and professional levels.
One of the most exciting aspects of the contest is its unique set of prizes— including M-Audio’s Axiom 25 and Oxygen 8 v2 MIDI controllers. The prize packages provide an array of tools that enable artists to progress from music creation through the production process to final playback. They even facilitate the release and distribution of the music, truly empowering the independent artist.
“Not only am I looking forward to giving people this opportunity to remix my art,” says Klayton, “but I’m also excited to give them the opportunity to use some of the same tools that have allowed me to achieve success on my own terms.”
Although Grand Prize, second- and third-place contest winners will be determined by fan voting, there will also be two additional chances for recognition. Klayton and Keyboard magazine will each handpick an additional winner. From there, winners and top picks will also have the opportunity to get their remixes placed into various film, television and video game projects, just as nearly every Celldweller track has accomplished.
