Reviews
"WOW!!!!! I remember the ARP on gigs I did and sessions I played on ‘back in the day’. This soft synth sounds like you went back in time and snatched the original and dragged it back to now. It sounds soooo amazing!"

"Today I installed the Oddity...it's beautiful. And with the 24db filters it sounds much better than the original! I really can recommend this synth."

“…a remarkable imitation of a classic synth. Given that Odysseys are rare, expensive, unreliable, often have damaged faders, always have scratchy faders, often drift out of tune, and are always a nightmare to tune… I very STRONGLY recommend you to try it."

"…an aficionado's plug-in.....a product for synth connoisseurs… a labor of love … somebody put a lot of time into getting the details right."

The people at GForce have a passion for one thing—incredibly realistic emulations of vintage keyboards. The Oddity is completely faithful in its reproduction of the original ARP Odyssey. In fact, it’s the only host-based reproduction available. It’s all here: dual VCOs with sync and pulse-width modulation, monophonic or duophonic control, noise generator, ring modulation, sample/hold, 4-pole 24db/octave resonant low-pass filter, high-pass filter, VCA, AR and ADSR envelopes and more. If you’ve worked with an Odyssey before, the Oddity is an inspiring blast of nostalgia (not to mention much more reliable). And if you’re new to it, this classic synth emulation is sure to bring you as much inspiration as it did the pioneering electronic musicians of the day.
The Oddity has some features the original Odyssey designers never even dreamed of. For starters, it’s programmable—complete with 384 great presets. All parameters map to standard MIDI controllers as well, so you can get your hands on the sliders and switches via hardware for a more tactile experience. Speaking of sliders, the Oddity’s have GForce’s unique Flying Slider feature that allows you to throw a slider to the minimum or maximum setting. There’s even a unique Morphing feature that allows you to morph between two presets with timing you determine. Of course, the Oddity doesn’t go out of tune, or suffer from dirty sliders and switches, either.
You can use the Oddity by itself or as a plug-in from most popular host applications including Live 4, Cubase, Logic, GarageBand, SONAR, Digital Performer, ACID and Pro Tools LE/TDM. Compatible formats include VST 2.0 (Mac/PC including VSTi), RTAS (Mac/PC) and Audio Units (Mac). In other words, you can integrate with the rest of your studio and use it just about any way you want.
